title = {Augmented Rescuers for Healthcare Emergency},
abstract = {Rescue and emergency are a main healthcare domain that can benefit from hands-free systems and wearable technologies, as well as advanced mixed reality systems. State-of-the-art ICT systems in this context are mainly based on mobile technologies, which essentially provide a computerization of the classical paper-based approach. Beyond that view, in this paper we discuss the design and prototype implementation of an augmented rescue system, which exploits wearable technologies integrated with a distributed software infrastructure featuring mixed-reality functionalities. This augmented rescue system aims at providing a disruptive innovation in maxi-emergency domain, strongly impacting both at the individual rescuer level and at the rescue team level.},
